About

Dr. Dylan is a trans and Autistic educator, speaker, and relationship coach who works with the LGBTQ+ Autistic community.

They have a Bachelor's in Psychology and Education from Barnard College of Columbia University and a Masters in Special Ed from Teachers College of Columbia University. Dylan has a PhD from the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh, where they wrote their dissertation on Sex Education for LGBTQ+ Autistics.

Prior to starting graduate school, Dylan was an elementary Special Educator, working with Autistic students. They have an extensive career supporting Autistic youth at camps, school, and at home.

Dylan's experience as a trans teacher has been featured on NPR and NowThis. They are also a lead organizer of the Trans Educator's Network in New York City.

They co-wrote a chapter on Neurodiversity and the Culture of Autism and were the sole author of a chapter on Sex and Neurodivergence in Fundamental Concepts and Critical Developments in Sex Education: Intersectional and Trauma Informed Approaches
